Fairgrounds Events

The N.C. State Fairgrounds hosts countless special events during the year. In addition to the Got to Be NC Festival, the fairgrounds is hosting the following events the weekend of May 18-20: Heritage Crafts Corner, Chatlee Boat Show and Sale, Independent Labrador Specialty Dog Show, Raleigh Flea Market, Wake County 4-H Horse Show, and North Central District 4-H Horse Show.

Visit our Heritage Crafts Corner where crafters from our State Fair Village of Yesteryear will transport you back in time. Demonstrations will include: corn shuck dolls, pocket pillowcases, traditional loom spinning, alpaca fiber spinning, manual wood lathe turning, fiddle making, traditional paper folding, reclaimed wood decor and more!

The Raleigh Flea Market at the Historic State Fairgrounds has been a Triangle tradition since 1971. This fun, family-friendly atmosphere draws tens of thousands of shoppers every weekend. The flea market showcases more than 600 vendors, offering everything from antiques and collectibles to handicrafts, furniture, homemade goodies, clothing, jewelry, and…well, the list just goes on and on!
